Buttercream Dream Production Space

Hi. I'm Lauren, owner of Buttercream Dream, the 100% vegan baking business in Dublin that creates vegan indulgence that satisfies your sweet tooth and your conscience!

I'm here today because I've suddenly been given, and have accepted, a fantastic opportunity that I couldn't let go. I've signed the lease for my very own commercial production facility, which I've taken over from another well known business. Having a large space of my own, as opposed to the rental commercial space I'm currently using, will allow Buttercream Dream to expand hugely, hitting more stores, allowing us to cater to many more markets and festivals, and setting us one step closer to building the dream team and getting a retail bakery of my own. Currently we're the only vegan baking business in Ireland to have taken their product to retail, or have a pop-up shop to this extent.

The €10,000 I'm trying to gather will go towards equipment for the kitchen. Inside is completely bare. Thus far, I have invested close to €12,000 of my own to fund the business, and at this point, I really need some help to bring vegan indulgence to the masses. I don't expect in any way to raise this amount, but this amount is what I need from all sources. Below is how I intend to use any funds raised by this campaign. I've gotten my product through retail and have opened a pop-up shop of my own over the past couple of months.

- Van rental we've been given some good prices elswhere in Ireland for equipment but some do not deliver and we do not have a car big enough to transport the equipment if we can get it)
- Commercial weighing scales
- Commercial cleaning equipment

Apart from this campaign, I am raising funds by continuing to work as hard as I possibly can, as well as completing in-store tastings to encourage sales in the stores I supply, featuring at many more markets around Dublin, having 'pop-up' days in establishments with a similar ethos/target audience, upping my custom orders, etc. I've dedicated my life to making this happen, whether it be moving abroad at 20 to learn the skills I needed to bake and start a business, or working 90+ hour weeks!

Any help is truly appreciated. I have funded the business until this point, and asking for help is still uncomfortable, but many customers have told me they're happy to help, whether that be donating or sharing to spread the word.
