Tennis camp for kids living in Sweet Auburn - O4W
Donation protected
Hey y'all! I am Dalayna Hosten, and I strive to make tennis accessible and affordable for kids in my community. When I play a match at my local tennis courts in the historic Sweet Auburn community, it never fails that a kid or two will ask to join. In their eyes, there is an eagerness to play this sport - one they may see on TV but don't have access to learn. We can change that.
Given that our neighborhood has tennis courts, this camp provides an opportunity to:
- Introduce the sport of tennis,
- Get kids physically active, and
- Encourage kids to have fun
Camp will occur October 9 - 11 during the mornings at Selena S. Butler Park Tennis Courts. It will be a low-cost tennis camp for up to 20 kids living in the Sweet Auburn and Old Fourth Ward neighborhoods.
With help from people like you, we can create an engaging and fun camp experience for these students. Many of the kids in the neighborhood come from low-income families. While families will pay a small fee, most of the program cost will be subsidized through donations.
If you donate $20, it will provide a camper with a tennis racket
If you donate $25, it will provide a camper with lunch and snacks for 3 days
If you donate $60, it will provide a camper with access to a tennis coach
If you donate $120, it will provide a camper with a 3-day camp program
