What I'm raising money for: help to provide income for Sade and her children while she continues with surgery, therapy, and emotional healing.
How the money will be used: Bills, housing, relocation....general needs for Sade and her children.
Oln June 10, 2017 , Sade and her husband spent the day together, took selfies, and ended the day with a trip to grab some take out and a bottle of wine. Before there would be any glass of wine , or intimate evening of any kind, her husband stabbed her totaling 27 times in the face (including twice in the left eye leaving her permenatley blind), head, stomach, back, thigh, knee , hand, under arm, shoulder, and calf. During the moments in which her husband stopped the stabbing (because the knife was stuck in knee), she witnessed him grab a butcher knife and continue toward her with it. Lying on the ground with blood rapidly running down her face, she begs him to "Please stop, Pleae HELP!" Her husband then puts the knife down and leaves the home....
Despite what Sade has endured, she is alive and healthy; taking care of her children, and optimistic
about her future.
Often, women are left homless and without financial support when they leave their abuser/spouse/partner. In this case, even though Sade wanted to leave her marriage, she stayed because she feared the unknown of seperating her family and starting over. It's important for her to understand that her husband was not the only person that she could rely on; the world is full of people who are willing to help!
