Butch Pedersen Medical Costs

Hi, my name is Cindy Griffith and I am fundraising on behalf of the Pedersen Family to assist with Butch's medical costs regarding his aggressive blood cancer treatment.

Statement from The Pedersen Family:

As our dad is battling a very aggressive blood cancer, we recently found out he will soon have to get a bone marrow transplant. Dad just went to Houston to get a second opinion on treatment and unfortunately this is going to be a battle that he will face for the rest of his life. With our dad’s diagnosis and treatment plan the medical costs are starting to add up. While our mom and dad are not fortuneless, a pill that he has to have monthly costs $1600.00 and is not covered by insurance. Being a teacher and coach at West Branch for over 40 years he has dedicated his life to helping others by playing many roles within the West Branch community as well as all across the world to both young people and families. Our dad has great passion and takes great pleasure in helping people. Today, we are now asking you for help. The stress of fighting cancer is high, to hear bad news hurts, and then to add to this all of the costs of medical expenses that are not covered by insurance adds even more stress to our family. We appreciate all the community has given to us including a bone marrow drive, meals, prayers, kind notes, letters and phone calls. Today I am asking you to please consider a donation to ease the stress of all the medical expenses. If you cannot give at this time but could forward it on we would greatly appreciate it.
