Butch McGuire's Employee Relief Fund

With recent COVID-19 news regarding the closure period for Chicago-area restaurants and bars, our employees have been notified that they should expect to be without a job for the foreseeable future. Butch McGuire’s provides employment opportunities for over 40 people who most solely depend on our incredible customers’ generosity for their livelihood. By shutting our doors abruptly amidst this crisis, our employees did not have the chance to find work elsewhere and now may face financial hardship.
Butch’s like many other small businesses will continue to take quite a hit over the coming weeks, we will, however, be open for pick-up and delivery and are taking extra precautions for safety and sanitation. We are still an independent, family-run and owned establishment and want to further our ability to help our staff and community.
This GoFundMe will support those employees who are full-time including Bartenders, Servers, Door and Kitchen Staff and other hourly positions. Throughout our 59 years of being in the business, Butch himself always ensured his employees were taken care of and we ask you, our loyal customers to help support the hardworking staff until we can get back on our feet again! ALL donations will be gifted to full-time employees who need it the most during these tough times.
Butch McGuire’s has been a part of the Chicago community on Division St. for over 50 years and we could not remain on this legendary strip without the support of our area’s loyal patrons. We ask that during this time you support our crew here so that we all can continue creating lasting memories for decades to come.
On behalf of the staff at Butch’s we thank you for your support and commitment to continuing the legacy Butch McGuire created in 1961. We cannot wait to be back serving you all and look forward to being together in our special neighborhood saloon soon!
