Bus Boy Bereavement Fund

Donation protected
Early in the wee hours of Saturday, January the 27th, my dear friend Stephanie awoke to find her son, Dominic, had passed away unexpectedly during the course of the night.

For those of you who know Stephanie, know she wears her heart on her sleeve, and her love and purpose for living is Dominic. Everything she did, was for his happiness, health and well being.
To the point of exhaustion, she lived for him.

Dominic was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Previously unknown to Stephanie, she strapped on her warrior-momma armour and became his hero. She spent every, single day of his short life, wearing many hats. Mother, speech therapist, physiotherapist, teacher, doctor, nutritionist. She drank from a well of strength of indelible depth. She found it in her to help others through donations, gofundme’s, and other acts of service.

Dominic touched the heart and soul of many; through his wide, bright blue eyes, his all consuming laughter, his stories (he told the BEST stories), his phone calls and messages left on friends phones. Dominic was all spirit. Pure and golden. Perfect in an imperfect earthly body.

Known locally as Victoria’s very own Bus Boy, he touched the heart of those he met, and after the beautiful tv segment by Adam Sawatsky via CTV News Vancouver Island, his story was shared far and wide, touching hearts across the country.

The loss of a child cuts deep. Stephanie will endure unfathomable pain. She will need all the support she can get. We, as her friends and family, ask if you would please, light a candle, share this post, wave at a bus driver, and if you can, donate to ease the financial burden this sudden and untimely loss has brought upon Stephanie and her family.

You did right by him Steph, you kept him beyond happy. He was blessed to call you “Uma”. He may not have been able to say it like we can, but he loves you. We all love you.
