Burton Porter House Fire

As some of you may know, my very close friends/second family had a devastating house fire on Monday July 27th, all people & 3 pets made it out ok, but they have lost everything they own, all memories past, present, and dreams to come.

In the last 2.5 months, my good friends have suffered the loss of their beloved father to cancer, have had to cancel their dream wedding because of covid. And above all else, have now had to go through the worst nightmare anyone could imagine; watching the house you grew up in, their childhood home, now turned forever home burn to the ground in front of them.

As many of you can remember some of our greatest memories have been made at this house from lake days on the party barge, to family & friend gatherings, the porter house hold has been a staple in my life and all of those around me! I have been so fortunate to refer to this “house” on the lake as my cottage, when those around have called it home for so many years.

At this moment, I ask that you please spare anything that you have no matter how small or large to help get them back on their feet, for a family that would not think twice about giving you the shirt off their back.
