Burnley Leisure and Culture

Burnley Leisure is an independent registered charity that provides services and support for the communities in Burnley and beyond.  We support the community through health and wellbeing services running cardiac rehabilitation, smoking cessation and weight management programmes along with delivering sport and physical activity programmes in schools and across the community through our varied project work.  

To help support these projects we operate trusted and professionally run venues including Prairie Sports Village, St Peters Centre, Padiham Leisure Centre, The Mechanics Theatre, Towneley Golf Club, The Boathouse and Pavilion in Thompson Park. As a not-for-profit organisation, every pound spent in our venues through memberships, tickets, hospitality, and more is invested back into the facilities and activities we run. 

We are a primary partner in Burnley Together, the local community hub set up to support Burnley during the COVID19 pandemic. We have committed to supporting Burnley Together now and way beyond the pandemic enabling us to help our community in a more joined up and effective way with other charity partners.
