The world beyond the county line is vast and we believe cycling is a vehicle to explore the world, experience new cultures, and make lifelong friends. The Burner Fitness Development Team is here to create an environment that fosters emotional and physical growth, allowing young athletes the space to find their feet and learn to love cycling as a lifelong pursuit of passion and part of a healthy and active lifestyle.
The Burner Fitness Development Team is a group of three cyclists under the age of 19. At its heart it is that, yet so much more. We don’t just race bikes. We ride because we love the adventure and the camaraderie; we ride because we love the feeling of the open road in front of us and the wind in our faces. We ride because we love exploring the world that cycling opens to us, but most importantly, we ride because we love cycling.
One never knows when the flame of passion will be ignited or what will kindle that devotion. The more a child is exposed the greater the chances they will find their calling and their place in the world. We love cycling not just as a sport but as a vehicle for enacting positive life changes that can transport the rider to places beyond the imagination. A bike has the power to transcend social class, religion, race, and the chains that hold you back. A bike has the power to expand horizons and deliver the world to the imagination.
Under the guidance of three-time Olympian Bobby Lea, the Burner Fitness Development Team is hitting the road, destination: Adventure and we are looking for your support. All funds raised will go towards the team travel budget. Please consider a donation of any amount to help these young riders explore a new side of the sport and see the world.
