Burn short film - Opening access to the Arts

Donation protected
Hello. My name is Bethany Tara-Louise, the writer and actor in Burn, a story of resilience, inter-generational suffering and the act of creating a better life for yourself.

As an artist who grew up in neglectful and dangerous places, my love for acting and storytelling has empowered me to create a better life for myself, made by myself.

Opportunities for young people in foster care

Young people in foster care will be provided with crew opportunities on our set, giving them the chance to learn, gain a credit in an often gate kept industry, and experience something tangible, which proves they deserve and can have something better.

Film Festivals and goals of a Future Series

We will enter this film into BIFA and BAFTA qualifying festivals such as Norwich Film Festival, Sundance film festival, Berlin Film Festival, and Cannes Film Festival.

We will later use this film as a pitch for a drama series, interrogating the gaps in the system built to support care leavers and estranged kids, and continue to provide career opportunities and learning for these young people.

A little can go a long way

With your help, we can pay for the film equipment and crew to make this possible.

We understand if you cannot contribute a lot.

A lot of 'something smalls' goes further than nothing at all. Help us create a new arts community, because creativity is and should be for everyone.

Thank you!
