<div>The Fang Family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the community following the devastating loss of our 4.5 year old son, Ayden, due to a pedestrian vehicular accident in downtown Burlingame.

<div>This GoFundMe was originally set up to help cover grief counseling costs for our family, but given the considerable response, we want to expand the use of these funds to also include pedestrian safety initiatives in the city as well as creating a memorial scholarship in Ayden's name at his school, FSM Montessori.

<div>Two nights before the tragedy, Ayden did something he doesn't usually do. Instead of reading books with his little brother, he wanted to play with legos. He said he wanted to build something special. He was very proud of his creation, and wanted a photo with it. Ayden likes to clean up, and usually breaks down his lego creations afterwards. However, he insisted on putting this tower atop the room's mantel himself. It was only a few days ago, after the incident, that we saw how much it looked like a monument, and that Ayden had left us a message in the blocks - "protect our city."
