It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Espinoza Rodriguez which occurred on Saturday, August 26, 2017. He was a beloved son, brother, cousin, father, grandfather, uncle, nino and just a loved person overall. He was a lifelong resident of Oxnard. He has worked with several tow companies for the last 25+ years (the last being Payless Towing) and became known for that. If you locked yourself out, ran out of gas, needed a jumpstart or any minor tow he was quick to help without charging, often getting him in trouble at work, but he didn’t care. He just wanted to be helpful and kind, which he was very well known for.
He wasn’t just a car enthusiast, he was a car fanatic. He loved cars and did everything imaginable to them. He built cars from just the frame to showroom ready. Whether it needed a tune-up, a tire change, pinstriping or complete paintjob or even a whole new motor, he did that. It was his greatest enjoyment next to his children.
Daniel was a loving father to his children, grandfather to his grandchildren, and a father figure to many of his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed but well represented by those he touched. May his children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews carry on his legacy and positive influence.
He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel Rodriguez & Maryann Espinoza; siblings George Rodriguez, Rosalie Rodriguez and Peter Rodriguez; nieces Piedad “Nani” Ramirez and Elizabeth Vega. He is survived by his sisters, Dolores “Lola” Rodriguez, Carmen “Black” Hernandez, Josie “Jo” Rodriguez and his brother Carlos “Charles” Rodriguez; children MaryHelen Rodriguez, Nicolemarie Rodriguez and Jesus “JJ” Rodriguez; 6 Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
