Brazil Trip Opportunity with Rosangela Silvestre

Thank you for visiting! I have the unique opportunity to travel to Salvador, Bahia, Brazil and attend the last week of the Silvestre Training (www.silvestretraining.com). All I need to do is "get there", so I am raising money to cover the travel costs (and to "cover my butt" while I am there!)
Rosangela has been kind enough to make this trip easy for me, and I plan to do my best to get myself to Salvador.
Should this trip fall through (either due to the fund timing, ticketing or issues with my tourist Visa) I will immediately allocate the funds to Rosangela's second intensive that takes place in Salvador in August 2012. I am purchasing a ticket that has that flexibility.
ANY AMOUNT can be donated and WILL BE EQUALLY APPRECIATED!
EACH person that donates will receive a personal written accounting of my experience, what it means to me, sprinkled heavily with expressions of LOVE and GRATITUDE! I have created some gifts for those who can offer a little extra support. I am deeply grateful for my friends and community who have offered to help with these gifts!
WHY NOW?: I was personally invited by Rosangela to come to the last part of her training. I have NEVER been out of the country (except Mexico) and feel very comfortable going to Brazil in the care of the Silvestre community!
WHAT PURPOSE WILL THIS SERVE?: As a student of Rosangela Silvestre through my music and dance community, Batucaxe (www.batucaxe.org) I will be bringing my personal perspective and elements of her Silvestre Technique and Orixa Dance classes back to my community. I will also have the opportunity to study with other Silvestre certified teachers, and with classes (such as capoeira dance, ballet, and floor bar) not offered here in the USA. I will be staying in the heart of the historic area of Salvador, out of the tourist area. I will be bringing myself to Salvador with an open heart and open eyes to the culture that so inspires Batucaxe, and will be journaling, filming, photographing my experience to share with my intended community.
My training with Rosangela will further serve mothers in my community, as she has been instrumental in inspiring and collaborating with me for my BirthRhythms classes. These classes are prenatal movement and dance classes, with a focus on the elements of nature and the music and rhythms of the world. They will help empower a woman to achieve a more natural and easier birth.
HOW?: By raising these funds, I will be able to purchase my ticket and expedite my travel documents. I intend to leave Jan 20- Feb 3, 2012.
