<div>Hi my name is Rical Tan- Ward Manager of Bulphan Ward, Basildon Hospital in Basildon, Essex, United Kingdom and I would like to ask for your kindness &amp; financial support towards my 5k Charity Walk on 21st of September 2025 (Sunday). This is to help raise money for the benefit of our patients in Bulphan Ward’s Deconditioning Programme and for Staff Wellbeing and Support.

<div>I’m doing this 5k Charity Walk for the first time and have two aims. Firstly, this is for the patients in the Care of Elderly Ward (Bulphan), Basildon Hospital. These are people from age 75 years old and above.

<div>Secondly, this is also for the benefit of staff working tirelessly in Bulphan Ward. This is a diverse and multi-disciplinary group made up of teams such as Medical, Nursing, Therapy and Domestic. All who work 24/7 in care of our elderly patients, supporting their needs and wellbeing.

<div>As you all know, caring for these type of patients and ages is not easy at times- it can especially be both mentally and physically challenging. Yet despite this, I continue to believe in the principle that “We Treat &amp; Care For All of Our Patient’s As Relatives”, meaning that we look after them with the best care that Bulphan Ward can provide. As though we were looking after our own parents or grandparents at home and the staff at Bulphan Ward never fail to demonstrate this.

<div>We believe in Basildon Hospital’s core values of demonstrating Respect, Compassionate and Excellence to all, and we always bring this to what we do in Bulphan Ward.

<div>Why did I choose these beneficiaries? For our patient’s deconditioning programme and for staff wellbeing.

<div>‘Charity begins at home’ and I would like to do what I can as a manager to be able to help the ward. I truly believe that through aiming for this we can improve our patient’s experiences while they are admitted, whilst also helping Bulphan Ward’s Staff wellbeing.

<div>I have only chosen £250 as a minimum amount as I can understand the economic situtation currently (and the high inflation rate in the world we live!) but please know that any small amount coming from your heart will be greatly appreciated ❤️.
