Bulgaria Missions Trip 2018

Hey family and friends! This Spring I have the amazing opportunity to go on a short term missions trip to Bulgaria with my church (Christian Life Church in Mount Prospect, IL) and Mission Possible. Mission Possible is a missions organization that focuses on equipping local churches and leaders in Eastern Europe to reach people who are hurting and in need. In Bulgaria, they focus on equipping church leaders, running winter soup kitchens, ministering in Roma (Gypsy) villages, and providing literacy classes, Bible studies, and professional training. One of their newer campaigns is the BabyBox Project, which provides mothers living in poverty with the items, health care, training, and support needed to keep themselves and their babies healthy. The main focus of our trip is to help equip local missionaries in serving local churches and ministering to the Roma people group. During our trip, we are scheduled to visit various local churches, Roma villages, and BabyBox Project families, as well as aid in children's programs and a Pastor's Conference for local Pastor's and their families. Since my early teens, God has given me heart for missions work. I've always had a deep desire to bring relief to those that are suffering in any way I could. I love traveling and meeting people from different cultures. I was lucky enough to attend a college that prided itself on its global connections, with alumni serving all over the world as missionaries, pastors, and leaders in all types of ministries. This is how I was first introduced to Mission Possible. This ministry is seriously awesome. Everyone that works in the organization is so genuine and cares greatly for the people they reach. When they share stories of the work they've done, they tell not only of their successes, but also of their struggles. I have supported them in prayer for years and currently send support money for one of their missionaries. I really love this ministry! When I found out about this trip, I knew immediately that I wanted to go. In order for me to go on this trip, I need two kinds of support. The first is spiritual support. Please consider praying for me and the others going. Pray that as we prepare to go, that God provides the resources we need and accomplish what needs to be done. Pray that He keeps us safe and in good health before, during, and after our trip. Pray that He'd prepare divine appointments for us to reach people with His love and the Gospel. God moves when people pray. The second is financial support. I have set a goal of $2,400 for this trip. This will cover travel, lodging, food, and all other expenses. I am expected to have the first half by the week of February 19th, and the full balance by March 31st.
