Lemons and Lyme-AIDE for Maryn

Maryn is my beautiful 19yr old daughter who got bit by a tick on July 4th, 2012 while vacationing in Hilton Head, SC. She was diagnosed soon after returning home to Michigan with Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.  She has been very sick for the last 2 yrs and had a PICC line last summer for 4 months of IV antibiotics. She seemed to be doing well until she had Strep and Pneumonia over Christmas.  She was in a local hospital in February for a fast heart rate.  After that she continued to get worse without any answers as to why.  Finally we ended up in Washington DC for an evaluation and she was diagnosed with seizures related to Advanced Lyme Disease. She is unable to work or go to school or drive.  We are starting treatment at the Jemsek Specialty Clinic in Washington, DC and will be traveling there every 4-6 wks for treatment for the next 9 months. Maryn will be getting another central line placed in August after her seizures are more stable for more IV antibiotics. She has a bleeding disorder which makes things a little more difficult.  I am asking on behalf of our family for assistance for her medical treatment and travel expenses.  We have insurance but this treatment is not covered. Just in 2014, we have paid $18,000 out of pocket for medical expenses. Maryn has so many dreams and plans and my dream is that she will be healthy again. Any donation will be appreciated and all money goes only for Maryn's treatment. ~~~~Katy <3
