Matt Lundy is the 1st particpiantof the Built Foundation.
Matt weighed almost 400lbs at his heaviest, Oct 2007. He has battled weight his entire adult life. Since January 1 working with The BUILT FOUNDATION and under the guidance of HollyBuilds Nutrition, Owner Holly Tabor, Matt has lost 100# in 12 months. Matt now does CrossFit for his workout routine and lives life to the fullest. While Matt will tell you he still has a journey ahead, losing this much weight has dramatically changed every area of his life.

Proceeds from the GO FUND ME will benefit the BUILT Foundation. Our Project to combat obesity in our community and yours.

With obesity rates in the U.S. tripling since the 1970s, Crossfit Coordinate and BUILT FITNESS owners Philip and Holly Tabor decided something needed to be done to reverse this epidemic. “Our passion and why behind opening our gym, CrossFit Coordinate, was always to leave Cary more fit than we found it” Philip Tabor.

The BUILT Foundation program is modeled after Extreme Weight Loss with Chris Powell. Participants will be selected from a pool of applicants to work with the Built team of trainers, nutrition experts and physicians. Participants will complete a 12-month comprehensive fitness, nutrition and education program at BUILT, which is also home to Crossfit Coordinate.

The Need:

"It's difficult to be optimistic at this point," said Dr. Frank Hu, chair of the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health. "The trend of obesity has been steadily increasing in both children and adults despite many public health efforts to improve nutrition and physical activity."
