Because no one else built it. Not the DNC. Not the Lincoln Project. Not ProPublica. Not any of the billion-dollar media companies. Not any of the think tanks. Not any of the opposition research firms with seven-figure budgets. They all had the resources. None of them built a single place where every lie, every broken norm, every indictment, every betrayal, every shifted goalpost is documented in one searchable, sourceable archive — from Fred Trump's arrest at a KKK rally in 1927 to the Iran war happening right now. So I did.

I'm Charles, a QA professional. I built The Record with Claude (Anthropic's AI) through the Pause Before Harm Protocol — PBHP — a framework for using AI responsibly to hold power accountable. This is what happens when you combine human judgment with machine capability and point it at something that matters.

Your support will help me continue developing The Record, expand PBHP into new areas, conduct research, and keep this vital archive updated and accessible. It will also help sustain me as I dedicate my time and expertise to this mission. I'm inviting you to join my mission, share this project, or support it with a donation—every bit of help makes a difference in holding power accountable and advancing responsible AI.
