Building a school in Kenya

In short:
We want to complete the construction of a small school in a fishing village in Kenya, and we need all the help we can get to make this little dream happen!
-

The long (but important) story:
This mission started with my mother travelling to Kenya for a simple holiday. There she stumbled upon a completely different parallel universe. Where people dream of things we always take for granted in the comfort of our developed society, ike having easy access to drinkable water and a toilet.

She experienced firsthand what was like being born in the "wrong" part of the world.

She wanted to help but there was so much to do! Once back home she asked friends for some help.
Returning to Kenya she managed to build two wells in a fishing village near Malindi. For the first time ever they had their own supply of natural drinking water.

She returned another three times and on her last visit she met one of the two teachers in the village. They asked her for help to improve their little school. The school building consisted of only a few benches and the broken roof meant that it couldn't be used when it was raining.

With the funds she had available they managed to install a new metal sheet roof and started building brick walls (see pictures below).
That was just the first step.

To finish the building work to complete the school we estimated we would need around £1300. That sum should be enough to finish building the walls, doors, windows and a new toilet.
