Building On The Dream-BBQ B&M

Hi! We are the Frank Family and we are seeking funding assistance to keep our dream for our family alive and growing. We are working to build a business we can pass down to our son and future generations. We truly believe that if you have a dream and you chase after it and work hard that anything is possible.

We are the owners and operators of Smokin' Frank's BBQ. We are a mobile BBQ business and have been in business for a little over 4 years now. We currently set up Wednesday through Saturday in New Albany, Indiana and also offer catering services. Our business has grown year after year and we knew it was time to take the next step of opening a brick and mortar location.

Not only will the brick and mortar location allow us to be open on a daily basis, regardless of the weather outside, but will also allow us to grow as a business, offer more food options, create job opportunities for the community and even have space to allow other local vendors to sell their items as well.

We are excited to share that we signed a lease and have been working on getting the store front ready for the past 4 months. We have a goal of opening in September. After signing the lease some things came up that has caused our funding to be a little short of where it needs to be in order to complete the build out of our store front and continue on with our dream. Patrick had to have an unexpected surgery that not only caused us to have new medical bills but also caused us to not be able to sell BBQ during his recovery. Our son, Samuel, who is 21 months old has also required several medical tests this year that are still ongoing. Not to mention maintenance on the building that typically would be covered by the landlord fell on our shoulders.

We are so close to opening the doors and will do whatever it takes achieve our goal. When things get tough we do not give up. We have a big God and we know that through Him all things are possible. So, we are holding on to our faith and are trusting that he will provide.

We have been led to reach out to our friends, family and customers via Go Fund Me for assistance. We want to help make the community a brighter place and to show people that although chasing your dreams can be scary at times it is all worth it. Every little bit helps so if you can donate $1 or even $100 it all adds up and will be put to the use of ensuring a dream and goal comes to fruition. We are so excited to continue on this journey and watch our business grow and family cycle change.

We are seeking help with completing the build out of our counter, purchasing signage, purchasing additional equipment to be able to provide more items to our customers as well supplies such as paint, wood,  inventory, etc.
