Hi, my name is Kirsten!

I’m an Animal Studies major with a Biology minor, and this January, I have the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Botswana and Zimbabwe for 2 ½ weeks. I’ll be taking part in fieldwork, conservation projects, and safaris while gaining firsthand experience with wildlife in their natural habitats.

This trip is especially meaningful because I’m currently an intern with the African animal care team at an outstanding zoo. Working alongside these animals every day has fueled my passion for conservation, and this program will let me build on that by learning directly in the field.
