Hello Everyone, I’m Monk Mooaha from Woonmoonsa Korean Buddha Temple located at 161-02 46th Ave. Flushing NY.
I came to USA about six years ago to spread Buddha meditation and teach Zen mindfulness to the people who needed my help. By Buddha’s lead, I established the temple, Woonmoonsa, in Flushing NY and Kakhwang Zen center in LA with supported entirely by donations or Dana. While maintaing the existing temples I have been feeling the need for a new temple facility, which can create the conditions to reach out more new people, planting seeds of happiness and spiritual growth. It is a vital need to provide ongoing service satisfactorily as well as to expand services to enrich the lives of the community members and other who seek help in learning Buddhism.
Building a temple is an immense service for community, as it will bring peace and happiness to an endless number of people for many decades to come. Our goal is to complete the new temple by end of year 2023. To accomplish our goal, we need your generous support. We already have raised funds about $100,000 to purchase the land at 79 Mt. Meenagha Rd. Ellenville NY, but still we need to raise more funds to complete the Temple. Since we must follow the City, State, and Federal Regulations, building a temple become much costlier than we have normally anticipate and rely entirely on your generosity to fund this unique project. Your donation enables you to become a part of the Temple's future. Our community will greatly appreciate your generous donation to make this happen, as it will serve and help to bring peace and happiness to many people from all walks of life for many years to come.
