Building a Water Well in Memory of Kareem Merebi (صدقة الجارية): Lebanon
At the young age of 23, we were devastated in learning of the passing of our beloved Kareem Merebi. Kareem embodied every meaning of his name, being a giving and generous individual. Nazaha (نزاهة كندا), a non-profit organization registered in Canada in collaboration with Hemam Association for Development and Creativity (جمعية همم للتنمية والابداع - لبنان) aims to build a well in the memory of Kareem to continue his legacy in providing to those in need even beyond his worldly life.
Decades ago, Kareem’s village in Akkar, Lebanon faced a decline in groundwater levels, affecting many villages from accessing water for all purposes including drinking and agricultural irrigation. This drilling project aims to build a two hundred and fifty (250) meters deep well located in Kareem’s hometown, Ayat, that will supply both his and the surrounding villages with accessible water benefiting over one thousand and five hundred (1500) locals and their farms/ livestock.
Hydrogeological surveys have been completed under the guidance of the most brilliant minds where they have identified a suitable location for the construction of this well. With the necessary planning complete, we now ask for your support.
It is only with your donations that we can bring this project to fruition. In the month of Ramadan, we hope your donations will act as Sadaqah Jariyah (voluntary charity), a continuous source of blessings for both yourself and Kareem while providing one of the necessities of life to those in need.

حفر بئر ماء تكريما" لكريم المرعبي - صدقة جارية
في سن مبكرة من 23 سنة، تفاجأنا في معرفة وفاة حبيبنا كريم مرعبي. جسد كريم كل معنى لأسمه، كونه فردا معطاء وكريما. تهدف منظمة نزاهة - كندا، وهي منظمة غير ربحية مسجلة في كندا بالتعاون مع جمعية همام للتنمية والإبداع اللبنانية إلى بناء بئر تخليدا لذاكراه لمواصلة إرثه في توفير الاحتياجات للمحتاجين حتى بعد حياته الدنيوية.
قبل عقود، واجهت قرية كريم, عيات, في عكار لبنان انخفاضا في مستويات المياه الجوفية، مما أثر على العديد من القرى من الحصول على المياه الأغراض الشرب والري الزراعي والماشية. يهدف المشروع لحفر بئر بعمق 250 مترا يقع في مسقط رأس كريم والذي سيزود كل من قراه والقرى المحيطة بها بالمياه والتي يستفيد منها أكثر من 1500 من السكان المحليين ومزارعهم / مواشيهم.
أجريت المسوحات الهيدروجيولوجية تحت إشراف ألمع العقول حيث حدد الموقع المناسب لبناء هذا البئر وتم التبرع مالك الأرض بالأرض لهذا الغرض. مع اكتمال التخطيط اللازم، نطلب الآن دعمكم المادي.

أسباب تنفيذ المشروع
معاناة أهالي بلدة عيات والقرى المجاورة منذ عقود بانخفاض منسوب المياه الجوفية للأسباب عديدة أدى لجفاف مباه الينابيع التب كان يعتمد عليها الأهالي للشرب وري المحاصيل والمواشي.
