HELP US FUND BUILD A LIBRARY IN ETHIOPIA

Hibret Amharic School is a volunteer operated language school located in Vancouver, B.C. dedicated to helping local children learn Amharic, the national language of Ethiopia, and to gain an understanding of Ethiopian culture.
In return the school makes positive contributions to communities in Ethiopia by encouraging participating families to make donations and through fundraising efforts. ALL funds raised have gone directly to supporting schools in Ethiopia provide essential school equipment. Over the past year we have supported an elementary school in Debre-Zeit, Ethiopia buy desperately needed desks and benches to help with their learning needs.
We are currently raising funds to build a library for the same elementary school in Debre-Zeit, Ethiopia. The plan was to have each student purchase a brick to help contribute to building the library, but with the current situation of COVID affecting the country, many families have lost their employment and cannot afford to purchase a brick.
We are reaching out through this GoFundMe campaign to support the local children in their learning and to make a positive impact in this community. Through this initiative we can help change lives by establishing this library and bringing knowledge to the children through books.
We are hoping to open up a world of possibilities for the children in Debre-Zeit, Ethiopia! Please help us make a difference!
