HI FRIENDS AND FAMILY, in a few weeks I will be building a home for Helen, a refugee from East Africa.
REFUGEE: a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.
Helen has found freedom in Nashville and now calls it home. She is so excited to start a family here and memories for years to come. To my surprise, this does not come without commitment and sacrifice from Helen. She goes to school every week for homebuyer and financial literacy education and will be at each stage of the build. Affordable housing is diminishing in Nashville and with your gift, no matter how large or small, you can help purchase the supplies to build a home for Helen.
With all of the tragedies the world is currently facing, there is no better time than right now to lend a helping hand to humanity and uplift others if we have any means to do so. EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS, even if it's just one.
