Help Adventure Plus help young people after CV-19

Many small businesses and charities are suffering due to coronavirus and Adventure Plus is no different.
Adventure Plus is a youth work with a Christian ethos, based in Oxfordshire, UK. Working with over 9,000 children and young people a year, from all over the UK, its main focus is to educate through outdoor adventure activities. Working with these young people, meeting them where they are at; mentally, physically and spiritually, Adventure Plus aims to help them learn and improve self confidence and self worth in a nurturing and positive environment.

Under normal circumstances Adventure Plus offers on site activities as well as a mobile service; welcoming children to our purpose built site (currently undergoing phased works to increase and improve facilities) but also going out into schools and less accessible, disadvantaged areas. We have specialist programs for disadvantaged children, those with disabilities and those who are at risk of exclusion from school.
This type of work is so important to help improve the mental heath of the younger generation or 'screen generation'. Getting them outdoors, interacting with other young people and learning new skills.
Our work will be especially important after the CV-19 Lockdown is lifted as many of us will suffer mental health related issues from being confined to our homes for an extended time and with limited human contact. Therefore Adventure Plus will need to be ready to welcome more children and young people than ever before.
