Loughnavalley GAA is a rural club in Co. Westmeath, N91 DK83. Our grounds are used by our men’s junior team, Loughnavalley Ladies (U8 to adult), underage players through Lilliput Gaels, and Westmeath county teams. The wider community uses them too, through our walking track, pétanque court, Healthy Club programme and soon to be constructed Sensory Garden.

We have no indoor meeting facilities or disability access toilet at the pitch, and there are few shared indoor spaces in the area.

The project

We are building a Community Hub at the pitch, open to the whole community. It will include:

a disability-accessible bathroom with baby changing

a meeting room

a kitchenette

Funding

Planning permission is in place and the project has gone to tender. We are seeking 75% of the cost through LEADER funding. To secure it, the club must raise the remaining 25%, which is €50,000. We are almost halfway there.
