Build a Home for Mijikenda Students
Donation protected
After buying a house in Coastal Kenya, one of Daystar’s members began looking for a local organization to support in his new neighborhood. His house manager introduced him to Daystar: a boarding school that had been neglected for years and was running solely on local donations and the kind heart of Big Mama. 28 children were living in two baracks and were soon to be displaced.
The dire needs of these children became immediately apparent. Now, a handful of humanitarians are working to bring this local organization back to life as a boarding school, and the future is bright. Having the vision to create a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers who work to meet the needs of abandoned children, they are striving to create a place in the coastal region of Kenya where vulnerable children and teens can find shelter, foster family connections, and receive counseling and education. Our first step in starting this journey is to find these children a forever home. Join us on this new and exciting journey by helping fund their new home. Updates to come soon!
