Hello, my name is Katharine and I am trying to raise money to get eye surgery for Bugsy.

I rescued Bugsy approximately a year and a half ago, and it has been a struggle with him. When I first got him, he had to have surgery to have an abscess drained and cleaned. A few weeks ago, Bugsy's eye started swelling. I took him to the emergency vet, and they recommended antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, and pain medicine. His eye has since gotten worse, and I took him to his primary vet today (2/10/2025) because last night he rubbed his eye, and it swelled up even more and started bleeding. His vet recommended removing the eye, which I agree will be best for Bugsy. Although I am trying to find all the funds, his vet at Village Vets in Bellingham, Washington (Dr. Matt), quoted my husband and I at a starting price of $500, which could go up to $800+ if he finds more things that need to be done. I am simply asking for any donations to help pay for this and help him recover. I do have Bugsy scheduled tomorrow for his surgery (2/11/2025). No matter what he will have his surgery I am just asking for help to recover from the financial cost.
