Buffalo State Rugby National All-Star Sponsorship

This year our team has had an amazing opportunity to nominate four players to represent our club on a national level. We have selected four of our team leaders to play for the Tri-State Foundry Collegiate All-Star team which will travel to Austin, Texas in January to compete in the National Collegiate Rugby All-Star Tournament. Meet our representatives below.

Michael Delfino a senior pursuing a degree in Special Education. Mike is one of our captains as well as our team treasurer. He has played all four years of his collegiate rugby for Buffalo State and is a well-deserved candidate for this opportunity.

Jalen Montgomery also a senior finishing up his degree in Sociology. Jay was one of our acting captains this past semester and was a dominate force on the rugby field. In his off time, he is a resident assistant for the school.

Zion Treadwell is yet another senior who is finishing his degree in History. Zee has been one of our most outspoken and hardworking players on and off the field and arguably one of our programs most dedicated to learning the sport.

Juan Estevez our last senior nominee is finishing up his degree in Criminal Justice. Following his degree completion Juan will become an NYPD officer. On the field Juan truly is one of those guys who is always in the right spot and doing the little things that help us succeed.

Our players work very hard for opportunities to help grow their love of the sport as well as sharpen their skills year-round. These four nominees are just a small sample size of what our program has to offer collegiate rugby. I truly believe that these young men will fully represent every core value that our club holds dear.
