On August 22,2017 my family's world was shattered when my father was diagnosed with lung cancer.  Just days later our world was turned upside down again when we learned the cancer had already spread to his bones.  The doctors are going to start chemo therapy but his insurance is only going to cover 80% of the cost.  My parents will have to the 20% out of pocket.  The balance of each treatment is due before each session begins.  My parents do not have that kind of money being my father has been on disability for a few years now and my mother works but she only makes enough to help ends meet. It breaks my heart because these potentially life saving treatments may not be available to my father because of money. For those of you who know my father knows he has worked his self to the bone to provide for his family and has never asked for help. He worked from day light to dark to get us four kids what needed. Now this wonderful man needs our help to stay alive. He goes in for surgery on September 5th 2017 to have a port implanted for chemo therapy.  The treatments will start soon after the port is placed. To be honest, I am not ready to lose my father . If you are able to donate any amount of money please do. Without monetary help my mother will lose the man she has spent everyday with since she was 14  years old. my two brothers, sister and I will lose the man who wiped away our tears, hugged us and taught us right from wrong. His eight grand children will go without their grandfather.   Thank you from all of us and please pray for family.
