Buddy has been receiving medical attention recently for what started as lethargy, lack of appetite and some occasional vomiting, as well as no bowel activity for several days. After 3 vet visits in as many days (including an overnight stay in a 24hr care facility) we have only inched towards figuring out the problem, already exhausting our resources on tests and procedures which only seem to create more questions for the wonderful doctors and specialists caring for him.
He currently has a distended stomach that appears to be getting worse and filling with bile fluid and gas, along with a swollen pancreas, a stretched loop of small intestine, and some spiked levels concerning his kidneys. It's currently being investigated as a foreign body though nothing obvious can be found in his x-rays. So we have to get more procedures done, including an ultra-sound to know for sure before we can even move forward with a treatment plan. Many of you know that veterinary costs can get out of hand quick, and Buddy's situation is so vague and odd that it's taking a lot of expensive testing to narrow down a problem. Three different veternarians have told us his case is very interesting and ambiguous, which unfortunately means they don't know the cause and we have to do more examinations to figure it out. As of right now, we are bracing for the high chance he will need surgery to remove a foreign object or a growth which are very expensive operations.
We are asking today with worried minds and heavy hearts, for any monetary contribution you can make. We feel hopeful and optimistic that he can recover from whatever this is that is killing him, yet remain disheartened by the financial strain this has caused us, and worry that, without help from people like you, we can't provide him with the care he needs/deserves because of our limited means. Thank you so much to those who open their hearts to our cause and help our little boy get his surgery.
