Buddhist Project Sunshine News Service Fundraiser

Donation protected

Buddhist Project Sunshine News Service is an on-going effort to address cultures of harm and sexualized violence by promotion of relevant news and other items to the Shambhala and greater North American Buddhist communities.

BPS News Service is continuing the work started by Andrea Winn with Buddhist Project Sunshine, seeking to help bring about a cultural shift away from dynamics of secrecy and abuse to one of openness, compassion and clarity.  We are helping to create a new age for Buddhism in the West wherein people can practice and live rich and vibrant spirituality within communities of integrity.

Right now, with all the developments occurring both within and outside of Shambhala, there are few trusted places to receive an unbiased account of what's going on. The Buddhist Project Sunshine News Service seeks to offer such a source.

We are fundraising to cover our annual operating expenses for domain registration, web hosting, e-mail campaigns, and a low fee bank account so that we may continue to operate with the intention of benefiting our community.  These services were established last year through funding for the original BPS project under Andrea Winn.  Our renewals are due by mid-May 2019.

We will be very grateful for your show of support, which will allow us to continue serving our readership through unbiased reporting and presenting all the relevant sides and information of ongoing developments within Shambhala and the greater Western Buddhist communities.

Andrea, founder of Buddhist Project Sunshine, asked to share this note:

"The BPS News Service is a continuation of the work I started over two years ago. Completing the original Buddhist Project Sunshine work of bringing these issues to light was a huge accomplishment, and the institutions of Shambhala are showing slow signs of responsiveness - of change and growth.  The BPS News Service continues to highlight articles of note for the community during this important time.  They provide a greater breadth of information than is found in official Shambhala communications alone, and this allows more fruitful conversations to be had at all levels.  Please join me in supporting the volunteers performing this work.  Even a small donation can go a long way in supporting this service.  Please share their fundraising campaign broadly through your Facebook and other social media channels, and let's see this service continue for the benefit of all beings!"

Please help us raise $500 by May 15, 2019 and enable us to continue offering this valuable service.
