Bawa Cameroon Clinic Launch Team

Tax deductible
This campaign is to raise funds to cover travel expenses for a team of volunteer medical professionals going to Bawa, Cameroon to facilitate the opening of the village clinic and begin caring for villagers.

The Bawa, Cameroon clinic has been the focus of Dr. Blaise Dondi, of Ellensburg Wa., a Bawa native, since the death of his mother from childbirth complications. Construction is completed and a container of donated supplies awaits the team of volunteer health care professionals from Ellensburg and Lacey Washington leaving early December and traveling to Bawa for 17 days, Their goal is to set up the 9 clinic rooms, the labor and delivery suite and innoculation/education room while beginning the care for villagers and training local staff.

Currently the closest medical care is a 13 mile walk for villagers, making it impossible for those suffering serious illnesses to receive treatment.

Thank you so much for supporting this generous group of nurses, doctors and health care professionals who are donating their time and expertise to help facilitate local health care, hygiene and health education resources for the villagers of Bawa, Cameroon.  We feel honored to be a part of the amazing work that is being done.

Any additional funds will go directly to pay for continued staffing of the clinic.
