Buckets and Beers Episode VII - The Beer Awakens

Hi, I am Smooth Imperial (Andy Close), and I have been holding Buckets and Beers events for many years now; this will be Episode VII. What's it all about? That is two simple things;

1:We bring fans of various fandoms together in a space where they are safe and welcome, where we share a love of Star

Wars (and other fandoms) and get to meet new people.

2: To help to benefit a local cause, I feel it needs all the help it can get. The Lower East Side Girls Club of NY. These people do incredible work for the children, girls, teens and women of our neighborhood, providing services and experiences that are so beneficial. I feel the work they do now is even more critical with the erosion of Women's rights all over our country; it's time to help support causes that support women. This will be my 3rd fundraiser for this cause.

That's the what and why, but here's the bottom line. I do this because I like bringing people together; we live in crazy times with lies and misinformation everywhere, where our world can be a little chaotic; this offers a break from that. I have met many great people who have traveled from Texas to attend my events; they are like family now.

I do not have the greatest health since I got Covid in January of 2022 and was hospitalized, but I can tell you that I will continue to fight for the things I hold dear and share those fights with my friends, old, new, and some I haven't even met yet, why? Because it's the right thing to do.
