Hi friends, I’m reaching out to ask for help for my sweet boy, Buckbeak. He’s 5 years old, and I rescued him during the pandemic. Since then, he’s become a huge part of my life—and honestly, a little local celebrity. He’s never met a stranger, always wants to say hi to the neighbors, and brings warmth and joy to everyone he meets. Recently, Buckbeak was diagnosed with a painful autoimmune condition that has made it almost impossible for him to eat. After numerous vet visits and tests, we've been told that he needs a full mouth extraction—nearly all of his teeth will have to be removed in order for him to live without pain. The good news is: this surgery will save his life. He’ll be able to eat again, live pain-free, and go back to being the loving, happy cat we all know. The hard part: the surgery is expensive—$2,000, and we only have 2 weeks to raise it before it becomes imperative for a safe and pain free life.
