Buck Privett Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
Marine Sergeant Buck Privett (ret.) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, September 10th while at his home in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 41 years. Buck was a decorated veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, participating in the invasion of Iraq in 2003. During his time there, Buck risked his own life to save his vehicle from being destroyed when a white phosphors flare landed on top of it. After evacuating everyone from the vehicle to include himself, Buck ran back onto his vehicle and was able to remove the flare prior to setting the vehicle on fire. For his actions he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.

Buck was loved by so many and he touched many lives throughout his time with us on earth. Unfortunately, his sudden passing has put a major financial strain on those around him now charged with planing his funeral services and burial. Currently, his final expenses for his burial are exceeding $14,000. This is just the cost to have him buried without any fanfare, etc. Knowing how this is impacting Kim, his fiancee who's handling everything and recently lost her brother a few months ago, I hope that setting this up might help offset the financial burden placed on her. Any help is appreciated and every cent raised will go towards paying for Buck's funeral and related expenses. I have no expectation of raising any more than the set goal but if anything extra is raised, we will ensure it is donated to a charity that Buck would have wanted. Thank you all.
