BU Formula SAE 2019 Fund
Donation protected
The 2019 Formula SAE (FSAE) team is tasked with delivering a competition-ready open-wheel race car to compete in a series of events at an intercollegiate competition. Students design, build, and test the performance of the vehicle and then compete with other students at the Michigan International Speedway in May of 2019. The competition is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and demonstrate their engineering skills and creativity.
Bradley University selects certain students to participate in the competition as their senior design project--the culmination of their undergraduate education at Bradley. This project is notoriously time-consuming and arguably the most difficult of all the available senior projects.
Unfortunately, the students are competing against universities with enormous budgets, putting them at a clear disadvantage. Although Bradley provides funding, the students are limited in resources and have to prioritize how that funding is spent.
The team is requesting donations to make improvements that could give them a competitive edge this year.
