On July 18, 2014 Felicia Cook went home to be with the Lord. Her battle began when she had a stroke in 2007 and the past four years she has battled pulmonary fibrosis disease. She was in need of a lung transplant but was denied since she was a stroke patient. Although her diagnoses took a drastic toll on her health her strength and her will to fight never ceased. We can confidently say that she isn't in any pain, she is breathing easy and resting in the arms of Jesus.
Her children, family, and friends are faced with a difficult week ahead as we say goodbye to such a sweet spirited, funny, faithful woman. The family is also faced with many costs in the near future. The funeral cost alone is $8,500, not to mention the thousands of dollars in medical bills that are still to come. We are asking for donations instead of flowers at the funeral.
We invite you to celebrate and to honor the life of Felicia Cook on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Visitation is at 11:00 and the service will begin at 1:00 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Madisonville, Kentucky.
Anyone familiar with Felicia knows that she never missed an opportunity to help out. She gave her time, her money and encouragement to anyone she came in contact with. If you feel led to donate any amount of money, big or small, the family will be forever grateful in this great time of need.
This fund is 100% secure and the funds will go directly to funeral costs and the remainder of the donations will be used to help the family pay other expenses.
