Seja's Spinal Surgery Fund

I am a friend of Seja's who in the recent past was one of her "business regulars" at the hotel she works passionately and hard for. I worked in the building adjacent to the hotel and made a daily ritual of visiting the cafe for her fabulous coffee and uplifting conversation in which I deemed $3 therapy. I love Seja's sharp wit! Her perspective on life, quick read on people and free gypsy spirit. It’s funny, the way friendships grow. First she was just a girl who made sure I received my first cup of piping hot coffee. It didn’t take too many “Sugar in the Raws” before we were great friends. We laughed a lot but I could see her struggle, day in and day out, to meet the impossible demands of the busy businessman who needs all his lattes yesterday! And even as I, and many others stood in line biting our tongues to stand up for her she was always polite and wished every single person, “A Wonderful Day!” All she wanted to do is send everyone off with a smile. It’s quite a remarkable and rare trait.
Getting along with it now, some of you may know Seja is going through an extremely difficult time on account of her severe back injury. The good news is she has sought and received excellent medical attention and will hopefully be getting surgery soon. The bad news is that in the meantime along with the extreme physical pain, she is very, very worried about finances. She didn’t want me to set this up when I asked her about it, but as a friend I couldn’t just stand there and watch her suffer either! She can’t work at the hotel until her spine is operated on and strong again, which is the major issue for her financially. She is keeping her shop open because it’s her passion but she’s struggling with it due to the continuous and debilitating pain she’s been silently struggling with for months now. I decided to go ahead and set this account up for her because I know she does not want to ask for help herself. (It’s different of course when it comes to her transgender cats hahaha!) I hope that you, like myself, would rather her focus on getting well instead of worrying about financial stress. She thinks that she’s in this all by herself , but she’s not! She will most certainly be out of commission for a few months considering surgery and rehab. She could have chosen physical therapy but she wants to be back to work as soon as possible and even asked her employers if she could work in a wheelchair while recovering!!! Seja is one of the most DEDICATED employees/friends/ human beings I have ever met and she’s always looking out for others instead of herself. Please help give her the PEACE that she needs right now so she can recover from this surgery and go right back to her hard working, dedicated ways. Please help me give her some relief that she deserves more than anyone I can think of. Thank you so very much for reading this and whether you can donate or not, please share and spread this message as far and wide as you are able. She’s an extremely hard working young woman who always pays everything on time and gives everything she can to charity and more. She needs this surgery because of how hard she works. The modest little life she has built shouldn’t be tossed away because of it. My deepest gratitude again. May peace find you always. XXOO Cindy
