BSW Major Graduation Fund For Courtney Butler

Hello my name is Courtney Butler a senior at Florida A&M University I will be graduating this semester July 2022 from the BSW Program. It has been a long journey for me. I was accepted into the social work program at FAMU back in 2017; I was hit with an financial hardship my fall semester and had to drop out. Due to Covid 19 I was able to recieve a grant that allowed me to reenroll into the program allowing me now to be in the position of graduating this semester!! I am so happy but at the same time depressed. I was notified last month that the Covid grant had ended so I would have to pay out of pocket for this last semester. I am currently not working because I am interning this last semester; so I have no extra money to pay for my classes so that I may graduate next month and receive my diploma. As a single parent who has not only worked two and three jobs to provide for my daughters as well as trying to further my education me obtaining this degree will be appreciated not only by me but by my daughters as well. I know that becoming a social worker I will have client’s that have been through similar situations just like I have. But all in all I want to support individuals, families, children, communities and society as a whole in an effort to meet basic needs, enhance social functioning and be that voice to the voiceless. And that is why I am asking for help any donation or contribution will be greatly appreciated thank you!
