Hello friends, As many of you may be aware that my son Billy is now listed as stage 5 chronic Kidney failure. I am so hurt and broken hearted that I could not give my son Billy one of my kidneys . We went to Vancouver to do my last three tests full of hope and excitement that our next trip would be for the transplant. We got the call last Tuesday but it was not what we excepted, they told me that I might be at risk of not making it, I told them that's a might please lets try. I pleaded to take the chance, but the answer was no no no. Billy has an internal fistula which means an artery and a vein are surgically connected together in his arm in case his kidneys should fail , w and will have to go on dialysis, were praying that will not happen because that means it could be three days a week or every day for four to six hours .Dialysis also makes you weak and sick and could go on for years if there no match or the person is at risk and the waiting list is five years or longer where some people die and others just give up and die with in a couple of weeks, that is their choose. Billy's kidneys are now between 14 and 16%.His brother Elvis is now going to get tested. It is a long process, we told him and others about all the tests they do how much time they have to be off work, going to Vancouver to do tests there also and living with one kidney and some life chancing that they have to follow to live a long and health life like Billy will also have to do. So lets keep praying, have faith and keep positive. For those who don't know Billy, he was born 71/2 weeks premature at 3lbs 2ozs blue baby had open heart surgery at a week old at U of A hospital and many more before the age of five. Billy is a happy go lucky young man, full of enthusiasm, his personality makes people instantly warm up to him, always smiling no matter how much pain he's in, never complains or feel sorry for himself. When asked how he's feeling he'll say everything is good, good . For those who know Billy and Elvis know that no words can describe what great friends they are to many .Billy lives on a small pension and has so much pride, so it is hard to ask for help to keep going to see his Doctors and specialists and when the time comes having to rent a place in Vancouver for two months for sure or longer.
