Donation for surgery

Hi, my best friend’s daughter, Althea Chloe Samaco was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease - Patent Ductus Arteriosus and has been in and out of the hospital lately due to complications. Althea used to be cheerful and full of energy. But lately, she had been worse, and the doctor recommended immediate surgery.

Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) happens when a blood vessel called the ductus arteriosus doesn’t close as it should after birth.

Their family in the Philippines have barely enough to sustain their daily needs due to the recent pandemic lockdown. Many of them had lost their jobs, so producing the amount needed for the surgery alone would not be possible.

Althea’s heart surgery will cost around P400,000-500,000. The procedure will be performed at National Children's Hospital in Manila, Philippines, once the amount is partially enough to fund the surgery. It will headed by Dr Louisa Joan Go, MD PediaCardio and Dr. Marillel Lozano MD Pedia.
