It’s been nearly 6 weeks since Hurricane Maria devasted the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. The majority of people in Mayagüez, PR, the town I grew up, do not have electricity and clean drinking water. I have partnered with Proyecto Bienestar (Project Well-Being) from Iglesia El Calvario (Calvary Church) to help in some small way. A team of at least 4 doctors, a nutritionist, a psychologist and many other volunteers are providing weekly care to their community and have also traveled to two remote, mountainous towns to give medical attention, food and water to the townspeople.

This fund will seek to assist households in Mayagüez, Hormigueros and other small towns in the west coastline.

We will provide at least 200 water filtration units, 200 portable solar LED lights, 100 portable solar chargers and 200 USB portable fans.

The recipient (Edward Lopez Roman) will be traveling to Mayagüez, PR the week of December 4th to personally deliver all of these provisions.

Every donation, small or large, will make a difference in the lives of our fellow Americans in the island of Puerto Rico. If you feel uncomfortable making a donation via the internet, please consider mailing your donation to:
