Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

Just over one year ago Houston became home for all of us. Fresh out of college, relocating to a new city, and starting a new job is both exciting and scary. It only took a few days to figure out we were all in the same situation and since then have become a very close group of lonely transplants turned friends. Houston welcomed each of us with open arms and made it easy to start calling it home.

Now it's time to repay and help our neighbors, friends, and coworkers in this time of need. Texas, especially Houston, has a certain way of life and it is being shown more than ever. While we are seeing the worst of mother nature, we are seeing the best of human nature.

We are looking for help to raise money to purchase and distribute food, water, baby formula, clothing, blankets, toiletries, dog/cat food, diapers, and many other essentials first hand over the next coming weeks. All donations will assist us in providing much needed supplies to local shelters, food banks, and rebuilding efforts.  We understand most people aren't able to be physically present, so we pledge all contributions made will make a direct impact on the thousands of displaced residents throughout Houston.

Starting this weekend we will begin withdrawing money from the fundraiser and making purchases of items that many people/shelters around us are in deperate need of. We have already been approved to begin volunteering at the Robert R. Brown Convention Center, which is now acting as one of the largest shelters in the area. This is just one of the many places we plan on personally distrubuting the items we purchase with your donations, along with the Houston Food Bank, local animal rescues (BARC, Friends for Life), and any other shelters and rebuilding efforts we can safely travel to for assistance. It is our goal to provide both immediate relief to those affected, but also aid in the long-term effort that sometimes gets forgotten when the storm ends. We will be posting updates and pictures here for all of you guys to follow and ensure you that your contributions are helping those around us on the long road back to normality.

Many Thanks,

Garrett, Vin, Dan & Will
