More information about Jack's Basket: Our mission is to celebrate babies with Down syndrome. We strive to ensure that every new and expectant parent is provided resources and avenues of support within the community. We aim to educate medical providers on how to discuss the diagnosis in an unbiased way in hopes that having a baby with Down syndrome is celebrated like any other. Here are a few impact stories: “A prenatal diagnosis is a tough place to be.  I’ve heard “I’m sorry” a lot and I’ve had people judge my decision to continue my pregnancy. But mostly there is just a lot of silence.  People often mean well but don’t know what to say so it can start to feel like everyone sees my baby’s birth as a sad thing.  Every baby deserves to be celebrated as they come into the world.  That’s why it means so much that there are people out there who are happy to help new parents welcome their babies. “It’s been a blessing throughout the months to see little things here and there that came in her basket.
