Bruce’s Medical Treatment Fund

As some of you may know, my brother was rear ended  in a car accident in June 2016.  He sustained a traumatic brain injury that was misdiagnosed due to incompetent workers comp insurance doctors.   Months later he was diagnosed but treatment was still delayed due to insurance red tape as they didn’t want to spend money to provide him proper care.   Sadly, the constant delays in treatment have left him totally disabled.  The once vibrant, funny, athletic father, husband, brother and friend has been transformed into a person who struggles every minute of every day to do basic things.  Bruce’s balance has been altered but he was making progress until he fell from balance issues this past Labor Day which caused another blow to his brain and he regressed back to square one.  His vision is impaired and he now wears special glasses to block his eyes from too much stimulation.  The part of his brain that helps him make decisions like getting the mail and sorting it or decisions to make dinner and gather ingredients has also been impacted badly.  He vomits on almost a daily basis from visual and balance problems thus he’s not getting enough nutrition and he’s constantly nauseous.  This is leading to malnutrition, low sodium, blood pressure issues and a host of other medical problems.   Sadly, he lost his job and his wife left him as a result of this accident.  He desperately needs medical therapy that the insurance company will not pay for and while I work hard to fight this he is losing precious time to help his brain heal.  His window of time to calm his brain and rehab is closing fast.  I’m asking you to please consider making a donation of any amount to help fund medical care to help Bruce try to get his life back.  He will never be the same person and sadly he may never be able work again.  He is not aware of my plea yet as he is a proud person who has trouble asking for help.  If We can help him get therapy that will give him back some of his ability to enjoy his children,  his life and to function better than he does now, it would be the greatest gift of all to him.   Your support means so much to me as it will to Bruce.  Thank you.
