Bruce's surgery and hospital stay

Donation protected
***Update: the response has been overwhelming and I turned off donations. We have all we need. Thank you all so much!*** My 9 1/2 year old husky, Bruce, suddenly developed a pneumothorax in his lungs, which required emergency surgery.  What's a pneumothorax?  The quick version is his lung was leaking air and he had a hard time breathing. He's got a tube in his lung now, surgery has been performed, and now we just have to wait and see.  He's got a few more days of recovery in the hospital and then we can hopefully bring him home. He wasn't going to survive without the surgery, so it was a no brainer that we were going to do it. However, the estimate that we got, which includes an ER visit, multiple types of imaging, bloodwork, putting the tube in his lung, and surgery is about $5000. After having my own battle with thyroid cancer late last year and my other dog needing surgery for a mass on his leg, I'm tapped out. Bruce is the goofiest, funniest, loudest, craziest dog I've ever met and I need some help to get him back to normal. Any help is appreciated.
