Heartbroken, we say goodbye to Bruce and Zoe Simonsen, our friends, our family, and the supportive light in many of our lives.
An unexpected and devastating experience, words cannot explain the sadness and sense of loss we feel knowing they are no longer on this earth.
Always loving and full of enthusiasm, Bruce and Zoe lived to share happiness and laughter with their family, extending their kindness to anyone lucky enough to cross their path.
As a son, I’ve lost my mother, my friend, and my first love. Zoe cared for me with a pure and whole heart, she was supportive of me during every facet of my life: she was the most devoted grandmother to my children and the most dedicated daughter to my grandmother Mimo. I've also lost Bruce, my father figure, a mentor, and the man who made my mother the happiest she ever was, complimenting her every whim and being a caring and loving grandfather, son-in-law, and stepfather.
The loyalty, resilience, and fortitude they embodied are qualities that are in me and inform who I am today.
May the universe give our family comfort and strength to accept their transition into the afterlife.
I’ve created a GoFundMe page to benefit my grandmother Mimo, Aurora Rodriguez de Fayas, who at 89 years old is now faced with the loss of her only child.
In life, Bruce and Zoe provided her with the support necessary to secure the medical and any day-to-day assistance she required but with this sudden loss, our family is financially challenged to secure the complete and proper care she needs.
If you are able, our family would appreciate any donation you can contribute, as every bit helps. All proceeds will go directly to Mimo's sustenance and care.
