On February 26th, 2018 my father Bruce Yates passed away after a hard fought battle against stage 4 colon cancer.
My dad was extremely hard working and self employed. He was no stranger to a 16 plus hour day. Even so, he always made time for his family.
Unfortunately, he was misdiagnosed in April of 2016. Despite being in continuous pain he kept working until he went to the hospital in September of 2016. UC Davis was able to correctly diagnose him and by that time the cancer had spread and he reached a point where he was no longer able to work. My mom and dad faced tremendous medical bills during this whole process.
I am hoping to alleviate some of the costs to the family by starting this campaign. Our family would appreciate any help and the sharing of this post.
For anyone that would like to attend the services:
Viewing is Sunday, March 4th from 1-6pm
Services are Monday, March 5th at 1pm. With a reception to follow at the Moose Lodge in Woodbridge from 2-5pm.
